Who We Are
Sri Atmananda Deb Memorial Trust is a Non-Government and Non-Profit making organization, established to work in the areas of Health, Education, Environment, Women Empowerment, Relief of Poor, and to provide amenities and facilities to those who can’t afford.
We were established in 2008 by our founder Mr. Sujit Bramha and his spouse Mrs. Lina Bramha with handful of like-minded youth from the local area of Naihati, North 24 Parganas, West Bengal. Focus was to provide equal opportunity to children with need of basic necessities like Education, Nutrition and Child rights.
And, time came on 20th February 2018 when our effort gets institutionalized as Sri Atmananda Deb Memorial Trust.
Sri Atmananda Deb Memorial Trust create a brand a name of SPANDAN under this brand we have implement our all projects and activities for society.
About a decade earlier, a few souls had gathered together for a good reason – to dedicate their time, resources and skills in reaching out to those women, children and the families in need, irrespective of their caste, creed and status.
Little did that group of dedicated persons knew that today they would be successfully running an established NGO, ‘Sri Atmananda Deb Memorial Trust’ whose brand “SPANDAN” touching the lives of thousands of needy women, children & families, based around the belief – to help make this world a better place for the under privileged.
OUR VISSION
We at “ Sri Atmananda Deb Memorial Trust” (Spandan) count it as a blessing and a privileged to be able to render loving service to all in need. We are leading to transformational change and improvement in the lives of marginalized sections of society. we are trying to creat an inclusive society, where the people with disabilities are accepted into the main stream of economy and social life.
OUR MISSION
“Spandan” is committed to uplift the poor and needy children through education, food, clothing and medical services. The association is also dedicated in helping the underprivileged widows and women.
OUR OBJCETIVES
To establish , Manage and maintain educational activities such as education center , publishing house ,library ,schools, colleges and encourage activities of education.
- To make research in the field of education and help individuals or institution carrying on such work.
- To conduct medical relief work, to establish, maintain and manage hospital, clinic or treatment center or to help such center.
- To provide village forestry, agriculture forestry, plantation, tree conservation activity and energy forestry.
- To Development of Common People at the grass root level being beneficial to the public.
- To do social welfare activities including Public Health and other development work of the locality. To Impart and develop social awareness among the illiterate women and by organizing awareness camp from time to time.
- To promote and organize prosthetics aid and appliances, Vocational Training center awareness camp, Manpower Development, health and nutrition etc for all.
- To provide children with food, education and clothing, without separating them from the environment they are used to.
- To prevent hunger and despair which in turn compel children to adopt a bad lifestyle with begging, crime and drugs.
- To eventually eradicate poverty and misery in their surroundings.
