Our Story

The inception of “Sri Atmananda Deb Memorial Trust” work at Naihati began in 2008 with free Coaching to poor students. By 2018 this informal association had grown both in the number of volunteers and scope of work and was named “Sri Atmananda Deb Memorial Trust”.
On 20th February 2018, the organization was registered as a charitable organization. The registered office at 41/1, A.K. Debi Road, P.O.+P.S. – Naihati. District – North 24 Parganas. Pin 743165. West Bengal.
We started our work by providing Naihati “Apex Blind School” and Uttarpara “Louis Braille Memorial School for the Sightless” nearly two hundred blind students with the necessary Braille Papers for the next six months.
Our social activities started continuously..

What We Do

FOOD BANK

We collect leftover food from social events throughout the Barrackpore Subdivision and deliver it to the people living on the sidewalk as a one-time meal.According to our records we have so far provided 60,000 plates of surplus food to the people.

OXYGEN BANK

Oxygen is a colourless, odourless, tasteless gas essential to living organisms, being taken up by animals.
Oxygen services are provided day and night.

BOOK BANK

Books, Notebooks, Pens, and Pencils are given to the children of “Naihati Redlight Area”, “Purulia Vidyasagar Adivasi School” and “Adisaptagram Vivekananda Orphanage” every year.

CLOTHES BANK

Used old clothes are collected and packaged for recycling and handed over to the people of remote villages in Purulia and Birbhum, as well as to the families of various bricklayers.According to our records we have so far been able to hand over clothes to 30,000 people.

“Sri Atmananda Deb Memorial Trust” is driven by the vision of world without hunger.
And also to create an inclusive society, where people with disabilities are accepted into the main stream of economy and social life. We believe that every single person is special and talented and is just looking for a chance to excel.

Our mission is to end hunger in our lifetime by providing food and life-changing aid to the most vulnerable and mobilizing the necessary resources to end hunger by 2030.
